Not a magic bullet - but VERY good for what I need
It’s not uncommon for me to get songs and have to learn them in a day or two. Capo gets me on the right track quickly and that’s exactly what I need. I get audio of a song to learn along with a target key and Capo lets me immediately transpose and get to work. For me - the program is a guide, not a magic bullet - and I’m totally OK with that. My ears will always have the final say.
As for features:
I really like the fact it’s now doing some tempo analysis and automatic chord detection.
My initial experience with voice reduction was that it wasn’t as useful as I’d hoped, but the EQ feature provides a good way to draw out particular sections of a song.
Documentation still says you can add markers to a song - but that functionality has apparently been removed. I REALLY miss that in this version and hope it returns soon.
I wish I could be a little more fine-grained when setting playback speed. Sometime 1x is too fast and 3/4 is to slow. I’d really like to be able to set that percentage myself - gradually increasing as I go.
Overall though, my concerns are relatively minor. Your mileage may vary, but I dig this software enough to have bought it twice.
